The Barre Business Association is made up of 100 plus businesses in Barre. This organization was formed in 1992 to help local businesses improve and to provide better services to the community. The Barre Business Association has an active, well-established sub-committee designed specifically to promote tourism. The Association with its tourism sub-committee, is a non-profit group which donates significant time and monies earned to fund and promote community activities for all residents of Barre. These activities include: an Easter Egg Hunt, a Halloween Party, the Barre Business Expo on the Common, a flower garden on the Common, a bonfire event, Christmas in Barre weekend, and a Barre Christmas House Decorating contest. The organization has also funded trees for the beautification of the common.
